Wedding festivities!!

My amazing sister threw me a bridal shower at her house August 4th! Not only did I get lots of great gifts, but Bella had cooking spoons with Sharpies in my wedding colors so that all the girls could write their "recipe for a great marriage" on each one. I loved that!! I now have them on my kitchen island!

I loved every single one of my gifts...obviously, considering I registered for them. But my friend Andrea made me her gift after searching my Pinterest for things I love. It's an accessories/coat hanger that is perfect for my house!
Yesterday we had our annual family Fish Fry and turned it into our bridal shower for both of our families! It was extremely hot until the storm hit, but a blast anyway!

In other news, a few weeks ago I became co-manager at my salon. It has been a lot of work and very stressful but worth it.
Next up...my bachelorette weekend...stay tuned ;)

Let the blogging begin...

Decided it was time to start really blogging. Now that we are planning our wedding, I know I'll love being able to look back at our journey along the way!
I am an amateur blogger, so bare with me!
We now have only 86 days to go till we say "I do" and it has been one stressful ride! So far we have my dress, bouquets, veil, location, and some random decor. The guest list and invitations have been by far the hardest part. On top of all that we bought our first home November 2011 and besides the furniture we've packed in, we still have boxes and not one decoration haha! I am so not a girly girl! Anyone wanna come help?? :)

 I just found out I only need one more class to graduate NCTC with my associates degree, and while I feel it's taken long enough, I am so excited to finally have at least that!! Last night was mother/daughter night with a few of my favorite ladies! Started at Pirahna (So gross!) and moved to Rouge Modern Bistro (SO amazing!). I love that we can cuss, drink, smoke, and laugh our butts off with our awesome mommas!

So here's my start. Hopefully I can keep up with this!

I started school full time for the first time in 5 years yesterday and I am so overwhelmed, but excited! The classes seem interesting enough and my art class requires I go to an art gallery or museum...Shea will love that :) This week is full of class work and job work...can't wait!!

Thursday night I went to Six Flags with my Freddie and cousin and as sore as I was, I had a blast...we even got to watch a glow in the dark parade!! Friday night Shea, my mom and I played Phase 10 and passed out early since Saturday we had my favorite time of year, the family Fish Fry!! SO GOOD!!! Hope this coming week is as good as last week!!!

It has been an awesome month so far! Last Wednesday was mine & Shea's 2 year anniversary! We celebrated Friday night by going to Studio Movie Grill & to the classy Hot Shots where we first met!! Then Saturday I went with my Aunt Tricia, her sister-in-law, cousin Marriana, and my mom to Houston to see the one & only George Strait!!! It was so much fun!! The rest of the week should be fun as well!!
